Jacob... this piece is amazing. I especially enjoyed: "leave no room for regret" - travel really does feel like an existentially infallible pursuit. I've never regretted a trip, the good or the bad.

I recently wrote my own blog post trying to investigate a very similar idea to this post, however with a greater focus on the mortally dangerous type of adventure. It's funny, some of our sentences/rationale sound so similar - albeit you use some great sources to back-up your arguments, where I used none (sue me!).
